What good did you do today? Cooked for family for dinner tonight; not everything, but made the rotis. Also washed the dishes afterwards. Got up in the morning to pray Fajr.
Did you pray? Yes, prayed Fajr almost on time, Dhuhr. Missed Asr. Read Maghrib. Still have to read Isha.
Was the plan for today followed? some bits. Went back to sleep after Fajr so a big chunk of time in the morning could have been used to study.
How is revision going? could be better, am making flashcards now. overall percentage is 44.5% (28th centile). Needs to be much better to have a chance of passing.
If you died today, would you have regrets? Slept too much, didn’t pray on time, didn’t read Qur’an. Haven’t really worked on e-portfolio or emails.
What have you learnt from today – to take forward It felt good to cook/contribute towards dinner and spend some time cleaning/tidying the kitchen. Felt helpful and made Mum and dad smile. Should do this more often. If had not gone to sleep in the morning, could have studied a lot more.
If you live to see tomorrow, what will you change? Keep it real…
- I will wake up at 06:00 and not go back to sleep after praying Fajr
- I will aim to complete 200 questions – 4 sets of 50
- I will make an effort to pray on time
- I will cook in the evening and have family time like tonight
Any specific jobs/errands that need to be done tomorrow? again, keep it 5 or less
- call the vet
- call hospital
- change clinic appt
- update e-portfolio
- check emails
Last question, what is the point of this blog? Is it to get likes/another social media thing?
It’s an attempt for personal development. By making it public, I will psychologically feel more accountable for the promises I make myself – the timetables/plans I make. Don’t necessarily have to engage with the public as the purpose is for my own betterment. True, there is a danger of it becoming yet another way of procrastination or chasing after the number of comments or likes. Which is why the aim is to not detrack and start checking out other people’s blogs/like their blog just because they have ‘liked’ mine. Makes sense to me for the moment.
What will you do now? I am going to pray Isha, read Qur’an and then continue working until feel sleepy.
